"Why don't you tell Li about this?" Akio looked at Oak puzzled by what he mean't, "Li is an old man who lives at the top of Sprout Tower. It's north of cherrygrove in Violet city you can miss it." Akio nodded and rushed out the door before anyone could stop him.
"Gosh darn it...Kids these days. No respect what so ever." Mr. Pokémon said.
Akio went to the Pokémon center to do a check up on Cubone but all he found was a 11 year old flirting with the nurse.
"Your eyes shine lighter than the silver moon!" He shouted looking into her eyes. Akio looked up to him and just stared. A dopey Slowking stood next to him being it's normal derpy self.
"Are you finished?" Akio asked the boy.
"Why would I be finished? Oh hi there little trainer, I'm Danny!" Danny held his hand out for Akio to shake perhaps? Akio shook his hand and finally asked.
"Can my Cubone have a check up please?" The Nurse smiled and nodded taking the Cubone in with Blissey, Akio pulled out his Pokédex to Blissey and it gave data.
"Blissey, the Happiness Pokémon, Anyone who takes even one bite of Blissey's egg becomes unfailingly caring and pleasant to everyone." The Dex told him.
"Maybe Danny need to try that..." He muttered.
"Pardon?" Danny asked aggressively, Akio didn't reply rather just chuckle.
After a while of awkward waiting Cubone came out happy and healthy, so Akio was on his way, but as soon as he left the Pokémon center.
"WAIT, I admire your style and would like to join your quest." Danny told him. Akio smiled and said. Come right this way then. They were off to go to when they were stopped on their way to Violet city. When they bumped into an orange haired boy who held many books and seemed to have a Pichu next to him.
"I am so, so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going and..." The boy stuttered alot.
"It's alright kid, just what's your name?" Akio asked helping him up.
"The name is Quimbly," He told Akio smiling.
"Wanna have a Pokémon battle one on one?" Akio asked ready. Quimbly smiled and accepted.
Danny went to the sidelines next to a rattata to see how to battle would go. Quimbly had the first move sending out Pichu, A bad decision because Akio had sent out Cubone.
Quimbly swiftly commanded Pichu to use nuzzle on Cubone but it didn't do anything...
"Welp Cubone, let's use bone rush." Cubone obeyed sending Pichu flying with an easy win.
Quimbly was shocked with the fighting style and determination and asked the same thing Danny did,
"May I join you on your journey?" Akio accepted and they found themselves on the verge of Violet city.
