His mother Lisa was the new champion of Johto and he remembered the time her Gengar defeated Gold's Typhlosion, it was the most famous match in the whole of New Bark Town! Enough backstory let the journey begin!
"Siel, Seil, Seil!" Akio shouted as he ran down the stairs to get his breakfast,
"Yes kiddo." He replied not so enthusiastically.
"TODAY'S THE DAY I'M GONNA GET MY FIRST POKÉMON!" Akio shouted even louder waking up his Father's Growlithe. His uncle seemed happy for him as Akio rushed off to Elm's lab making sure he wasn't late.
Unfortunately all the other Pokémon would be given out on his 12th birthday due to the rarity and capture rate of Cyndaquil, Totodile and Chikorita.
"We are sorry for the inconvenience Akio" Elm told him reassuringly. Akio didn't want to wait a whole nother year so he asked.
"Can I have any Pokémon you have?" Leading to Elm giving him a Pokémon.
"This is Cubone, also know as the ground Pokémon. It is Cubone has earned its classification as the Lonely Pokémon from its usual attitude of caring only for itself. If you want it you'll need these, A Pokédex and Pokéballs." So Akio took the Pokéballs and Pokédex and off he set.
A WILD SENTRET APPEARED! Akio was amazed by such a creature! He pulled out his Pokédex which seemed the be broken at the moment, it didn't bother him that much. Akio grabbed a Pokéball and threw it. Sentret was in the ball. . .Almost. . .Oh no! Sentret escaped. He slapped himself looking at Cubone starting at him then taking a Pokéball and seeing a Pidgeotto. Cubone used rock throw which weakened the Pidgeotto then threw the Pokéball! Akio was shocked, Cubone just taught him how to catch a Pokémon! Flash, Pidgeotto was caught!
Cubone and Akio wandered down that Route searching until they came to a sudden stop an old lady was just standing there holding an egg, Akio approached as she asked
"Would you like the Pokémon egg young lad?" Akio nodded and got an Egg on his team! He went further and further until the bushes rustled harder than ever...
Suddenly a bunch of Tyranitar came out and Attacked them both blow after blow. Cubone fought back trying so hard to keep together and not be reminded of his last trainer who had a Tyranitar as well. Akio stopped them.
"YOU CAN LEAVE MY BUDDY ALONE, LEAVE US ALONE PLEASE! WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. YOU ARE COOL LOOKING CREATURES BUT THIS ISN'T COOL, so please stop" He told them teared up. This inspired the Tyranitar to treat People the same as Pokémon! Akio and Cubone ran off to see the sunset of Cherrygrove city!
