Airalyn and Sapphire have set out on their journey across Hoenn, Airalyn decided the best way to start would to visit a famous landmark, Sky Pillar. It had been known that legendary pokemon could appear near there. Airalyn and Sapphire were enjoying the ferry ride there, Sapphire was happily dozing in Airalyn's lap while Airalyn was enjoying the ocean breeze. She didn't really want to bother with gyms or contests, she just wanted to travel Hoenn. The ferry docked at Sky Pillar and Airalyn and Sapphire excitedly ran off onto the white sandy shore. Sky Pillar was very high and Airalyn wanted to climb up all the way to the top.
She and Sapphire walked through the cave, she was getting closer to the top. It was a good experience, but also kind of frightening. Several pokemon jumped out of the shadows, trying to scare her as she walked through the cave. Most of them she ignored, but a few really did scare her. Sapphire was already asleep, that Kirlia could be so Lazy sometimes! Airalyn dragged her up the last flight of stairs and then woke her. The cold air blast at them, it was refreshing. Airalyn and Sapphire ran over to the large balcony like area. The view was incredible! She could see Lilycove city off in the distance and a smaller town a while away. The ocean roared down below, trying desperately to reach her. Many tourists were examining the precious artefacts in the building, but Airalyn was just interested in the magnificent view.
A crack slowly formed in the balcony, Airalyn was unaware of this. The crack slowly split down the middle of the balcony and pieces of the old stone started to crumble. Airalyn gasped as she saw the large crack and stepped towards the safe tower, but the pressure of her foot was too much for the weakened stone and it completely split into small pieces. Airalyn and Sapphire were sent tumbling down towards the icy ocean...
