Thunder crashed ahead as Soras waded through the rain and mud. His partner, a Dunsparce followed close behind. "It's pretty cold," Soras complained through shivers as he rubbed his arms. Dunsparce seemed unafffected by the cold. "Hey look, a hut," Soras shouted pointing to an abandoned shack tha was only a few feet ahead. Soras grabbed Dunsparce and ran inside. The cabin, despite how it looked, was oddly warm. Soras curled up in a ball and fell asleep on the cabin floor.
----
"C'mon, Pax," Ry said trudging through the rain. The Pancham gave his trainer an angry look and hopped on his trainers head. "And now my head is muddy," Ry said laughing. Pax gave a matching laugh as the duo walked through the rainy forest.
"Pan, Pancham!" Pax shouted, pointing to a hut in the distance. It was pretty rickety, but would most likely it would be dry.
"Let's go!" Ry shouted running to the door, opening the door.
"Ice Beam!" Soras shoued in shock, at the new arrival. Dunsparce fired a blast of subzero energy at the trainer, allowing a chunk of ice to form on Ry's lower half.
"Woah," Ry shouted tumbling backwards don the steps onto the ground. The ice shattered upon impact.
"Sorry," Soras said, rushing over to help up the kid. Soras stuck a hand out and healed Ry up.
"Thanks," Ry said rubbing his head, "My name is Ry, and this is Pax." He gestured to Pax, who gave a wave.
"Soras and this is Dunsparce," Soras said getting introductions out of the way.
Pax waked over and stuck his paw out for a handshake. Dunsparce just stared at Pax's outstretched hand. After a moment of awkward silence Ry piped up. "Pax, Dunsparce doesn't really have hands to shake." Pax continued to stare at Dunsparce for a moment of more awkward silence.
"So I'd hate to seem pushy, it can we come inside. It's a bit, wet," Ry said pointing to his soaked clothes.
Soras gestured them inside. "Oh, yeah, come inside, it's warm in here."
Pax sat down and rubbed his paws. Ry opened his bag to reveal some berries. He handed Pax a Pecha berry and the duo ate happily. Ry handed Soras a Berry, gave a smile, and said, "Enjoy."
They spent the rainstorm, talking, sharing stories and eating berries. The next morning. The rain had passed and the grass was beginning to dry. Each trainer then took their seepage ways, both continuing on their own journeys.
