Well unfortunately the funeral is also tomorrow so that might put sort of a damper on things but right after that we are going to a concert to see one of my fave bands ;w; Emotional rollercoaster l day, I dunno xD

Well, if something is cliche then honestly there's a reason for it. It must have worked enough times for it to become the go to for advice. :3 Sometimes we just need a reminder that hey, this may be cliche, but it's cliche because it works. So yeah...I hope things turn out alright, he's a super nice guy and goes out of his way to talk to me so I want to give back and I really hope this doesn't change him... :<

I completely understand where you're coming from, but I do believe that just listening will help! That's where my terrible advice comment came from, I probably give the most cliché advice known to man and truly believe it doesn't help, but it might! I mean, my friends still ask me for advice! Just do what you feel is right (see pretty cliché, but true!). It will all turn out alright!

Maybe, I just feel like if I just say something to try to help it will just sound like all the other words people are probably going to be giving and mean nothing. Maybe just being there to listen is the best option...

Your advice is actually very helpful

I personally think you being there for him and saying anything consoling will help. I mean, you don't know exactly what he's going through, but your heart hurt also. And like you said, you don't have the words. Sometimes you don't need words, sometimes just being with someone (to listen, or hug, etc.) can be enough. You will be able to help him, and I know it will help him out a lot!

Also, no need to apologize for talking about what's going on, I'm more than willing to listen! I may not have the best advice, but I will always listen

It's rough, I see her brother every Sunday and like...I don't even know what I'm gonna say to him now. Before it was just telling him "She'll get better and come through! She'll be such a testimony once she's healed!" etc. Now...I don't know
