Ok so as you know the Shaha region is my fan made Middle Eastern / Egyptian / Persian based region, the name is a combination of the words Shah, which is "ruler" or "king" in Persian and Sahara as in the Sahara dessert
The region is mostly desert-ish with a couple oasises where towns and cities are, in the north there are mountain ranges, further up north some vegetation and snowy mountains where you will find Maardicore - the north is based on Persia
The East has much more oasises close to each other than the rest of the region, making it look grassy and forest-like, further East you'll find the vast ocean in wich you find Bahazal - the east is based on the Middle east
The west is filled with old style villages and markets of all kinds, further West is a vast graveyard where you find Ghouinn - the west is based on Egypt
Nitpicking person : OBJECTION! you based Ghouinn off of Ghouls which are middle eastern not Egyptian!
Yeah but doing some research I found a good enough reason to have Ghouinn in the west, you see Egypt is located in the continent of Africa, and in ancient African myths - I kid you not - existed WereHyenas, flesh eating hyena resembling supernatural creatures, surprise surprise that is also what Ghouls are!
The south of the region is desert-ish like the center and west side, but there is also a lush island further down south where you find Cindarok - since Egyptian myths have many gods depicted with bird heads and Rocs are giant birds of both Persian and middle eastern myths the south represents all 3
