Ennen Creatures: Set 22

NonAnalogue The warg, a distant relative of the bugrit, is well-known for its loud, shrieking howl. It's not very fast - as evidenced by its stubby little legs - and it's small enough that it can't really menace anything bigger than someone's knee. However, it both defends itself and catches prey by stunning other creatures with its horrible scream. It is named for both the sound it makes and the sound people made upon being bit by one. Elements: earth, sound

The striped adder, as its name suggests, is a particular striped variety of the Ennen adder. Adders have a convenient, user-friendly display on their face, as well as large, easy-to-see buttons, and their calculations are very nearly always correct. Even though the adder can use its interface itself by poking its own buttons with its tail, it gets more use from humans, who tend to keep one of these small snakes as pets in order to help in day-to-day life. Whereas a lot of strange creatures exist because someone got it in their head to throw magic at things and see what happened, the striped adder seems to have evolved that way completely naturally despite there being no apparent benefit towards doing so, which prompted a lot of Ennen biologists to throw up their hands and quit the field entirely. Element: balance

The polterheist, as far as anyone can tell, comes into existence when either a thief (with unfinished business) or someone with a love of bad puns (also with unfinished business) dies unexpectedly. You can tell that a house has been haunted by a polterheist because all of the furnishings will be two cities over at a pawn shop. Element: surprise
