Ennen Creatures: Set 14

The harpy is an avian creature, all but extinct due to overhunting. It stuns potential prey with sharp noises made from the tendons drawn across the cavity in its torso. Flocks of harpies can thus be found easily by following the sounds of discordant music coming from the mountains or forests. One enterprising adventurer found that a harpy's tendons make for good instruments, and so for a long time harpies were captured and killed in order to make high-quality pianos. The gnome is a cave- and underground-dwelling humanoid that stands no taller than a foot. It burrows through dirt and stone alike using the freely-rotatable drill on its front. What appears to be a face on its front is actually just a design used to trick predators; the marking on its chest actually functions as its eyes, ears, and nose rolled into one organ. The gnome secretes a chemical from its nails that it uses to sedate prey, then it uses its drill to liquefy the prey into a slurry that it absorbs through its skin. Elements: balance, earth

The elf, one of Ennen's sentient species, lives in the sky, far above the range of human sight. It constructs domiciles that rest on the upside of thick clouds. Its wings speak to it being a distant relative of the fairy and the pixie. The elf and the grand gryphon, another sentient species that lives in the sky, are natural enemies. Element: air
