The Legend of Magikarp: Part 1

by The Joker Ghost

The Joker Ghost
So, our story begins one hot summer's day at Poni Gauntlet. Alastor, his wife, Melanie, and their seven children were going to have a picnic. "Alastor, dear, I hope we catch a good Pokémon today. John's turning 10 soon, and he wants a water type" said Melanie. "Yes, yes of course. I just hope we don't run into some useless Magikarp again" replied Alastor. There was a big splash in the water, but nobody seemed to notice. "Dad, does that mean that I'm gonna get a Pokémon?" asked 9-year-old John excitedly. "If everything turns out well" said Alastor. Jill, the youngest of them all, was listening, and asked "How come John gets a Pokémon, dad? My birthday was two weeks ago! How come I don't get one?" "You're only 6, Jill. It's tradition that kids receive their first Pokémon on their tenth birthday. I'm only 8, but I'm not complaining" said Aaron, who had started to play with Molly's Togedemaru. "Maru maru!" it said happily. "Aaron, watch out!" yelled Molly. Aaron, so distracted by Jill and Togedemaru, had nearly stepped in the water. "Oops." said Aaron. "Well, here we are!" said Melanie cheerfully. The family and their Pokémon sat down as Melanie counted the children. "Ron, Molly, Gerald, Orchid, John, Aaron-wait, where's Jill?!"
