My Pokemon Gym

by iiMxredy

iiMxredy If I was a gym leader.
We've all thought at least once what it'd be like to be a gym leader. Right? Personally I've thought many times and a lot of types have crossed my mind. From Poison, to Normal, to Water and even Bug. But my final decision would have to be. Fighting

Now if you've read my 'About' you'd realise that Fighting isn't even in my top 5 favourite typings, so why choose it? A couple of reasons, actually.
  1. Drain Punch, a fighting type move, is my absolute favourite move. Allowing hard hitting Pokemon to drain 50% of the damage dealt to their opponents. Pair this with a hard hitter such as Machamp or Conkeldurr and they can prove to be quite a challenge.
  2. Design. I love the designs on most fighting types. Especially Toxicroak, Lucario and Gallade. Toxicroak's sharp highly venomous needles and the way it pulls off the blue and red colour combination, Lucario's deep blue constantly reminding you of how it's powers revolve around 'Aura' and Gallade's katana like arms that could probably slice through a Steelix
  3. Potential. Fighting type gyms have so much untapped potential that I just can't leave them without the amazing addition of moi.
So now that my reasons are covered, let me get into my gyms design and puzzles revolving around it.
First off instead of the traditional inside gym. My gym will be located in a clearing of a forest located on the outskirts of a city. The gyms entrance would be marked with stone, chiselled into the Gym Statues we see in White 2. If my gym could be in an existing region, then a small forest section leading to my gym from White Forest in the Unova region would fit perfectly.

Upon entering you see rows of trees with seemingly no pattern blocking your path, rivers with extremely strong currents unable to surf on, giant boulders, in the middle a giant statue of a Toxicroak and trainers are also dotted around in various locations of the gym. You'll first have to challenge a Black Belt guy, my gym would be the 3rd so the trainers Pokemon would be around 24-28. Upon beating the Black belt he will kick the tree in front of you both twice, causing it to break and fall over the strong river, allowing you to use it as a bridge to cross. From there you are presented with three optional paths. To the left you will find the path to be blocked by a giant boulder, The middle path leads to the enormous Toxicroak statue, and the right a Martial Arts Girl standing in front of a cliff, whom of course you have to beat. After you beat her she would use her Pokemon's 'Rock Climb' to scale the cliff, and punch a tree several times causing it to fall and act as a ramp so you can climb up. Following the cliff to behind the Toxicroak statue you're presented with another river and another Black Belt standing next to it. The river leads to a waterfall that is falling on a woman's shoulders, much like Chuck in Heartgold and Soulsilver. After beating the Black belt Trainer he will make you follow him back down the ramp and he'll approach the giant boulder blocking the way, summoning his Crabrawler to use Rock Smash, separating the boulder into 4 segments. You must carry these segments up and place them in the river to stop the waterfall and therefore be able to challenge the final gym trainer. (Not me). However when you're bringing the final one up the ramp tree, the tree snaps in half and you must find another way. Going down the left path where the broken boulder was a cave entrance is now open, following this up you'll be surprised by yet another trainer, and after beating her she'll summon her Pignite to melt the crystals blocking your way out. When you get out of the cave you emerge on the other side of the river and are able to put the final rock segment in, ceasing the waterfall. The woman moves to the front of the statue and you backtrack to the middle to face one final trainer, a miniboss if you will. When you beat her the 5 trainers you beat all go up to the statue and push it, revealing a hidden passageway underneath. You go down that passageway into a cave in which the walls are aligned with crystals and the floor covered in about 1 foot of water. Although completely dark at first, the crystals soon glow to make a nice eerie yet soothing glow, and you tred straight through a path and up some stones out of the water, where you find me, iiMxredy. Ready to battle.

Phew that took a while to spill my ideas, but I'm not done yet! Now it's time for the pokemon.

So hey, thanks for reading. What would your gym be like? Make a written work and be sure to tag me in it because I'd love to read other people's ideas! ^~^
