Pluto was pushed into the great Detective's office. Samson and Amelia came in behind him. Pluto sat opposite Darren in a leathery chair and then Pluto's companion Pokémon, a Geodude, popped out behind him.
"I've just received a call sir." Samson said. "This organisation of clown people have attacked several police stations throughout Sinnoh. They've quickly taken many towns already."
"See if you can phone all of the officers in Jubilife. We need to gather all of them in this one station incase of attack." Darren ordered.
"I'll try." Samson replied, going into a small room to the side of the office.
"An organisation of clown people eh?" Darren shouted to Pluto. Darren paced the room, then slammed his fist down on the wooden table. "What are they up to. What do you know?!"
"Alright, alright!" Shouted Pluto. "They told me their full name was something like 'the Ancient Order of Jesters' or the 'Organisation of Jokers.' Either way, they won't go down without a fight. They emphasised how much fun it is, although I wasn't in the mood for a joke then."
"Are they...for real?" Samson asked.
"I know right." Darren replied. "Anyway, Samson, you should lead a small force of you and about eight other officers into Oreburgh City. Find the better trained ones with Pokémon, preferably. We've lost contact from that area and so we need to strike hard."
"I'll go with them!" Yelled Pluto. "I'll bring updates with that Samson fellow. I'll direct them to the jesters."
"I shall gather a larger force to go to Canalave City. I'll be using the bulk of this city's police force. We can leave behind some of the more defensively skilled officers." Darren explained.
A man in a crowd of officers who was he that ranked stepped forward. "My name's Jack Tennyson. I'll man the fort while you guys go off."
"Sounds good. I know we can do it!" Darren roared.
"And me?" Amelia asked.
"You're coming with me. You'll be the brains for our squad." Darren instantly replied.
"The brains? Really, I'm more than that."
"I know. Come on let's go."
A number of hours later Samson and Pluto were just at the end of Oreburgh gate with their proportion of officers. Samson looked into the City. No sign of any jesters. The rocky cliff face was silent. Then came a rumble of rocks.
"They ain't coming! We should turn back!" Samson roared, angrily.
"I reckon we should wait a bit." One of the other officers replied.
"I agree." Another officer said, as he turned his head to look out at Oreburgh City.
"I'll go! Let me find out what is going on!" A third officer cried, enthusiastically.
"Go on!" Samson replied.
The officer ran out of the tunnel and into the city. The other officers stood at the enterence to the Oreburgh gate and the officer wandered towards the many houses. He spotted one of the jesters. The officer ran towards him. The officed sent out his only Pokémon, a Hoothoot, who chased the jester. The jester sent out a Mime Jr. and an Aipom with the clown Pokémon jumping onto a building and Aipom tailing his master. Hoothoot came down to attack the jester using peck but then was pushed back by a psychic attack from Mime Jr. A swift attack from Aipom caused Hoothoot to faint and the officer fell to the floor. The Jester's Pokémon were on top of the officer as he became brutally murdered by the Pokémon. Samson ordered the other officers to attack.
"Get 'em!" Samson cried. The officers charged. "You ain't gonna murder my officers. No sir..."
Samson sent out his beloved Munchlax, a pokemon he had been with for quite some time now. Samson looked for the stealthy Jester. The officers had all sent out their pokemon: a mix of types including several Happinys, Wingulls, Houndours, two Azurils and a Riolu. Suddenly a group of Aipoms swung down from a building and sweeped towards half of the pokemon using Swift. The Azurils bounced into the air and squashed several Mime Jrs. coming at them. They were then taken down by a a small group of Lickitungs which jumped from another building. The Riolu fainted. Chaos errupted as Samson saw the Officers in his group get brutally cornered to where he was.
"Body slam!" Samson cried. Munchlax dashed forward and squashed the group of Lickitungs trying to use Lick on him.
"Brick break!" Munchlax hit each of the Aipoms furiously, causing them to faint. Then, Munchax dashed forward and hurt the Mime Jrs in another body slam attack The Jesters started to flee. Samson went to help the officers that were down on the floor and they regrouped. Pluto's Geodude finished off the remaining pokemon and they all dashed as fast as they could towards the slope connecting Oreburgh to Mount Coronet.
"We're too late!" Pluto cried. "They've fled to higher up ground in Mount Coronet and Eterna City! That slope is too steep for us to climb!" He saw how the jesters managed to get up using flying type pokemon and he cursed.
"Darren, you there?" Samson asked, shouting into his walkie talkie.
"Yes?" Darren replied
"We've secured Oreburgh but the jesters tricked us. We lost a few officers. The remaining Jesters fled to Mount Coronet and Eterna City using that annoying sliproad on the cliff that noone knows how to use."
"Dammit. Good job securing the city. Me and Amelia have positioned ourselves on the bridges next to Canalave. There's a bastion of members from the Ancient Order of Jesters there. In light of what you have reported...i'm going to have to stop the attack. We need to regroup before..." There was a crackle and then an explosion could be heard.
"What was that?!" Samson cried.
"You need to come immediately!" It was Amelia's voice. "Jubilife City is being attacked! We're regrouping everybody!"
Darren marched with Amelia and the large group of officers they had gathered to take on Canalave City. Although the city was seen to house Jesters, Darren was more concerned now with how he had only left behind a handful of officers.
When he arrived in Jubilife City he saw chaos. The officers which surrounded the main police station were using hordes of Bidoofs, Starlys and Shinxs. They faced the colourful jesters, who were using a mixture of Mime Jrs, Lickitungs, Aipoms and Murkrows. The Bidoofs and Starlys were attacking them directly with the Shinxs firing from behind. Darren led his forces to add to the defence, which also included the three staple Pokémon with new additions, including Hoothoots and then Darren's Drapion. Amelia sent out her Roselia to help. As each of the Pokémon attacked, the Jesters lost more and more Pokémon.
Darren went to find the rest of his Pokémon- he had left the rest of them in their poke balls on a table in his office. Darren picked up most of the poke balls and saw that one was missing- his Magmortar. He looked around, curiously wondering what happened to the pole ball containing one of his favourite Pokémon.
"That's odd..." Darren said to himself.
"Looking for this?" A familar voice could be herd. Darren turned round and saw Jack Tennyson, the officer who had told Darren he would control the police station while the two attacks were taking place. He had the poke ball with Magnortar in his hand.
"Give me Magmortar please." Darren pleaded.
"Oh no you don't. I'm in charge here!"
"What are you going on about Jack?! We're under attack!"
"You don't realise what you are dealing with. You are dealing with a circle. A circle of intelligent and fun politicians who actually care what the people think in Sinnoh. It is our destiny to rule Sinnoh."
"What the hell are you going on about?! Are you saying...you are one of them?!"
"Indeed I am haha! You guessed it!" Jack threw off his police clothes to reveal fluorescent coloured clothes, crimson and bright yellow in parts, with chaos black contrasting in some areas.
"My real name is Lenard. I am one of commanders of Team Jester. We will take over Sinnoh, with or without the police force!"
"Oh no you don't! You're under arrest!" Darren roared, pulling out handcuffs. In response to this, Lenard immediately sent out his Pokémon: A Luxio, a Golbat and a Ghastly. Darren furiously sent out his Drapion. Drapion grabbed at Luxio but Luxio zapped the Pokémon with electricity.
"Night slash! Then poison jab!" Darren ordered as Drapion swung it's mighty claws at Luxio. The first attack hit the Pokémon. It the second ended up in Drapion's claws getting stuck in a wall.
"Thunder Fang!" Lenard cried. Luxio pounced on Drapion's and dug it's teeth into the Pokémon. Drapion's initially felt a shock but it's hard armour protected him, even damaging Luxio. Drapion's lashed out and hit Luxio with its claws and the Luxio fainted.
Through a round window in the ceiling came Lenard's Golbat. Lenard ordered it to attack using wing attack. It hit it's strange wings at Drapion. Drapion countered by lifting then at Pokémon into the air. Lenard ordered a poison rang attack. Golbat's vile teeth dug into Drapion. Drapion fell to the floor but it tossed the huge bat into a wall. Drapion fainted.
"Shit." Darren said. "Lucario! I need you!" Darren sent out his Lucario. Lucario punched Golbat, who was still on the floor.
The face of Lenard's Ghastly glared at Lucario as it popped through the wall. Lucario fired an orb of aura sphere. It went straight through Ghastly, damaging the wall. Ghastly's large to tongue came down at Lucario. The tongue caused rubble to fly at Lucario.
"Lucario, go out and help with the officers. Go Abomasnow!" Darren sent out his Abomasnow , realising that the ghost attacks led tow stalemate between the two Pokémon.
"Ice Punch!" Abomasnow attacked Ghastly but ended up punching the wall. Ghastly kept using this technique,
before attacking with lick. Then, Darren ordered a wood hammer just as Ghastly popped out, causing Ghastly to faint. He fought Lenard in a hand to hand combat battle as he attempted to leave the building. Darren grabbed Lenard and handcuffed him.
"Tell me...all you know!" Yelled Darren.
"See...the tape!" Coughed Lenard as he pointed to the tv screen in the room. There was a news report-Team Jester had taken Jubilife TV. There was then a flash as the face of a man appeared on the screen.
"Hahahahaha!" Laughed the man. "Hello all Sinnoh citizens! Today marks the start of the rebellion! Team Jester shall sweep through the nation and bring death and laughter hahahahaha!" The TV went to dust as more faces appeared.
A man with a blue tie and buttoned shirt with black-brownish hair appeared on the screen. "Greetings Citizens of Sinnoh. My name is Cain Watterman. I lead the undestructable group known as Team Jet. We've taken much of Sinnoh already-Sunnyshore City, Lake Valor, the five star restaurant is ours and Pastoria City, as well as Valley Windworks. If you see people in blue clothing, it is probably ours. We're the best team."
This message was cut off by another. This time it was an image of a woman's face.
"I'm sorry but Sinnoh is Team Fuego's." The woman was young and had gingery-brownish hair. "I am Adara Fuego, daughter of Mr Fuego. We've industrialised many parts of Sinnoh. We've taken Iron Island, drove the Jokers out of Canalave and other towns our ours. We have declared war on Sinnoh and the other teams."
Another face appeared on the screen after a blurred screen. A woman with greenish hair appeared.
"Is this thing working? Hello...I'm Cheryl. I am a messenger from Team Eternal. For too long humanity has dominated. The will of nature must be done. Humanity has done too much damage to the natural world. We are small in size but we will expand from our position in Eterna."
This was then cut off from the same member of Team Jester.
"What do we have here? Technical difficulties haha!"
Darren cursed when he saw this and looked outside to see another line of Jesters with Zubats attaching. Darren sent his Drapion, who had healed up, into battle. Drapion easily helped push forward and in no time, Jubilife TV was seized. However, neither of the four broadcasters had been found. It was speculated that Team Jet, Fuego and Eternal had hacked the transmission elsewhere. The Team Joker transmitter had fled Jubilife.
