Poetry Book: Castle of Glass

by Belladonna Valkyrie

Belladonna Valkyrie A poem about flaws and trying to fix the insignificant ones.
I see a castle.
A castle of glass.
It stores my
Heart of hearts.

It seems so perfect,
From the inside out.
But I can see
A tiny flaw.

They say to me:
"Don't touch that flaw,
If you do it will crumble
The whole castle."

Stubbornly I tell them:
"It's imperfect.
It must be fixed,
This castle of glass."

I try to fix
That little flaw.
Oh, no, now there's more.
It's falling apart.

This castle of glass,
My heart of hearts,
Is now just a pile of shards,
For everyone to cut themselves on...
