Our heroes sat in their cold, dark jail cell with their heads in their laps. They happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and now are being blamed for the strange happening at the Kalos Power Plant and the disappearance of the Lumose Crystal.

Two guards stood outside their cell keep watch. Alex started pacing up and down the small holding place thinking about what they should do. Do they just wait and face the consequences or try and find a way out?

"Draining your energy by continuously pacing around like that isn't the best idea." Elijah spoke trying to be helpful.

"Well, neither is being stuck in a cell when we didn't do anything. They already searched us! We don't have the Crystal!" Alex replied noticeably annoyed.

He gave up and slumped down on the wall next to his friends. Ava leaned her head on Elijah's shoulder. She was extremely tired from everything that has happened today. Elijah took his arm and put it around her for comfort.

They sat there think for another hour before some older woman in a suit stepped up to their cell.

"So these are the kids?" The woman asked the guards.

The guards nodded.

"Well, it seems as if I'm going to be your lawyer for the trial. My name is Sophie." Sophie said unhappily.

"There's going to be a trial?" Alex retorted.

"Sadly yes." Sophie replied. "The people are very upset with you three."

"But we didn't even do anything!" Elijah exclaimed.

"I know that but everyone else doesn't." Sophie replied. "The only way you stand a chance of winning this case is to gather crucial evidence against who actually stole the Crystal."

"We have some! There was an 'F' engraved on to the device that contained the Crystal. I have a picture on my phone." Alex announced.

"Yes, but the thing is, we don't have access to your phone since it's currently detained by the Police." Sophie mentioned.

"Then why can't you go to the site and take another?" Alex asked.

"Well, the site is closed for repairs at the moment. That wouldn't be possible." Sophie replied.

"Then how do we win the case?" Elijah asked.

"By doing exactly what I say." Sophie replied.

She pulled a chair up to the bars of the cell and began spilling out her plan. Our heroes listened intently making sure they knew what to do. Once they finished, Sophie asked if they understood. They nodded. It was going to be tough, but it was possible to win.

Day turned to night and our heroes drifted soundly to sleep. There was only two beds in the cell. Alex took one and Elijah gave Ava the remaining one.

They awoke to a bell at 6:30am sharp. They were hustled out of the cell in a single-file line and to the courtroom. Inside the court, there were people of all sorts gathered to see the outcome of the case. Sophie sat on one side of the room motioning our heroes to join her.

They were sitting there for no less than 10 minutes before the judge revealed herself and told the court to rise. They all sat back down and began to wait for what would come next. One by one, our heroes and some of the city officials were called to testify their cases. Our heroes did exactly as discussed the day before.

After everyone had their turn to speak, it was now time for the judge's decision.

"After reviewing the evidence presented here today, I have came to the conclusion that Alex, Ava, and Elijah are guilty as charged." The judge announced.

Our heroes looked at Sophie with looks of fear. She leaned into them and whispered, "Just wait."

"They will receive one year of jail time with a $1,000,000 bail set." The judge continued.

Alex put his head down in disappointment. There's no way they would be able to pay one million dollars to get out. It looks like their journey would be put on holt for quite a while.

The time was now 2:00pm and our heroes were sitting silently in their cells thinking about what had just happened. Alex was lying on his bed with his head in his pillow. Elijah sat in a corner holding Ava while she cried.

A guard came storming through the cell block and took out a pair of keys to unlock their cell.

"What's happening?" Elijah asked confusedly.

"You're free to go. Now, let's move it!" The guard said annoyedly.

"What do you mean we're free?" Alex asked.

"You were bailed out." The guard replied.

Our heroes walked out of their cell and down the block to the exit. None of them had any idea who would ever bail them out. No one they knew had that much money. Except maybe one person...

They were lead to the entrance room and were greeted to a familiar face. Parteon, leader of Team Flare.

"Hello, kids." Parteon said grinning.

"You bailed us out?" Ava asked still confused.

"Sure did. That's what friends are for right?" Parteon asked sarcastically.

Alex stormed out of the building. He'd rather have took the sentence than have been bailed out by someone like Parteon. Ava and Elijah followed him out thinking about what had just taken place. They were just sent to jail by Team Flare's doing. Now, they were being bailed out by Team Flare. It was a confusing day for sure.
