When X and Y came out, I ended up liking the grass starter, which doesn't happen often. I was incredibly disappointed with Quilladin, but Chesnaught made up for it all.
So once I completed my pokedex and received the shiny charm, I realized how easy, with the Matsuda method, getting those shineys might be.
I really wanted a shiny chesnaught and slurpuff. After 890 eggs of chespins, I feel like I won't get it and the game is mocking me.
