Let's Play Journal of Alpha-Sapphire

When most people think of Let's Plays, they think of videos of people recording their games while they play through. These are often accompanied by the gamer's commentary. I'm doing this a bit differently. I'm writing a journal from the perspective of the game's protagonist as he becomes a Pokémon Trainer and embarks on his journey through the Hoenn Region. How will a Let's Play Journal differ from the typical Let's Play? You'll just have to read and find out. 
Entry 1: My First Day in Hoenn by Psycho Monkey
They day ORAS was announced, I decided right then and there I would write a Let's Play fic of my game. I bought a notebook weeks before release just so I would be ready. From the moment I first inserted Alpha Sapphire into my 3DS I took very careful notes on every detail of my adventure, something I failed to do the last time I attempted a Let's Play fic. Admittedly, the beginning of the game got less notes taken because too much hype and I was at a Pokemon party for release! :'D This Let's Play is written from the game character's perspective not mine just to make the story more immersive. It is also written in the format as if the character is keeping a journal of his adventure so expect liberal use of emoticons like this one :P Also, BrendanxMay is my OTP so expect some hardcore Hoenn Shipping, especially from the first-person PoV. Entry 2: New Friends Around Every Corner by Psycho Monkey
Sapphire gets friendlier with May and meets some new friends along his travels, both Pokémon and human alike. In all honesty, I probably wouldn't have had this entry up if it weren't for #summercamp15 so expect a few more entries in the next two weeks as I strive to fill the quota of the contest! >:D
Entry 3: The Unlucky Second Day :| by Psycho Monkey
Sapphire begins his second day as a Trainer but things don't quite go as planned for him. Yet another entry for #summercamp15. Though a relatively short entry, this chapter pretty much started writing itself after awhile to the point only the outcome of the battles and certain character iterations actually happened when I played through the game. Everything else is the result of blossoming creativity! ^_^
Entry 4: Pirates In Hoenn? by Psycho Monkey
A very densely packed Entry that could have been split into two or three parts where all kinds of new experiences await Sapphire. I even threw in an unexpected cameo at the end just for amusement. ;) The third installment of my #summercamp15 participation.
Entry 5: The Awesome Power Of A Gym Leader by Psycho Monkey
Sapphire faces off against his first Gym Leader, Roxanne, The Rock-Loving Honors Student! Will he claim victory and earn his first Badge, or will he be overwhelmed by her Rock solid might? At a whopping 21,065 words, this will be my final entry for #summercamp15 however Sapphire's story is just getting started!
