Gaiien Region: Water Starter

by Keleri

Keleri Gaiien’s water starter Seakitt and its evolutions make for boon companions due to their ability to purify and produce water and their excellent surfing abilities. Tibyss’ spines are flexible and can flatten to allow a riding trainer, or be raised high to intimidate a challenger.

@StellarWind Elsydeon First and best!!! Or best-received at least, heh. You're absolutely right, they can flash lights and patterns at each other in the deep dark. I'm still sometimes split on designing fakemon as if they're animals with elemental powers vs. elemental spirits/yokai, so that's something that might be more on the animal side, while the spirits can just talk to each other psychically.

Ah, Tibyss. I'm pretty sure it's the first Gaiien Pokemon I've actually seen art of all these years back and it is still one of my absolute favorites, to be perfectly honest. I absolutely love the colour scheme, the bioluminescent nodes, and the really striking fins. What never fails to get me, though, is that question-mark node on Suiline. What are sea-cats? We just don't know. I'm not sure if I haven't asked you this before elsewhere, but - do the bioluminescent nodes vary between individuals, and does flashing of specific markings in specific sequences have a part to play in their intra-species communication, particularly underwater?
