gold can fight with him, but it doesn't really means that gold must defeated red [ i lost for red 2 times T-T, i'm so weak ], he appears at mt. silver with a Blastoise, Charizard and a Venusaur, that may means he got Green's and Blue's Pokemons. But we can see that he's not happy with that just saying all the battle - . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. .... - he even said a word while we had a battle with him. He ended alone in a snow montain because he become too strong [ I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT FROZEN ]. So sad, let me cheer you red
